Our Mission:

We believe that in everything  ‘seeing is believing’ !  By displaying goods and products at International Trade Fairs and Exhibitions. the  international  buyer can inspect,  see and feel the products. With orders from foreign buyers Production can be increased. The seller increases profits  and  also gets foreign exchange. Considering the business climate and scenario in Sri Lanka  we took a decision to help our exporters.

It was a bold, courageous and  a timely decision  that we took in January 2008 to incorporate  World Trade Exhibitors (Pvt) Ltd, or “WORLDTREX” as a Private Limited Liability Company under the Companies Act  No. 7 of 2007 of  Sri Lanka. This was  to meet an important need, indeed a void, for the exporters of Sri Lankan products and services  - a  market place to display and sell their products..

It is bold and courageous to embark on such a mission at this time in the country and indeed the world.. We see industries carrying on successfully despite troubled times but looking urgently for new markets and orders. In a scenario where trade shows and exhibitions in Sri Lanka  were and are yet threatened  with poor attendance and even disruption, a sensible alternative was to display at trade fairs overseas where climates are peaceful and business friendly.
It is timely because the end of  the brutal Terrorism that has plagued, Sri Lanka is on the horizon and, it is time that manufacturers and  providers of services & products prepared themselves for " Take off " any time now. The overseas markets are ready to receive your goods. You must take your export products to them. The wisdom of the old adage “The early bird catches the worm”  cannot be more relevant.

Hitherto Sri Lankan Exporters have been serviced mainly by the Export Development Board of Sri Lanka, a State Funded public sector organization, which largely caters to export promotion  through their services and  provides for limited  participation, by entrepreneurs selected on good criteria,  at selected International Trade Fairs overseas. At times various Chambers and Business Councils have as part of their trade missions to foreign countries, held small scale displays, not organized very professionally and lacking in meaningful visitor attendance.

Hence this private Sector initiative of WORLDTREX provides the Exporter or the would be Exhibitor an independent and wider choice of participation at International  Trade Fairs if they are confident of their products  being competitive  in the international  markets in this fiercely competitive age of a Free,  World  Market Economy.

We are glad to pioneer  this  Private Sector initiative by WORLDTREX to give Sri Lankan  Exporters of  Products and  Services  the opportunity to conveniently  enter World Markets through a Sri Lankan  organization WORLDTREX  that has linked up with EXPOMAL, Malaysia’s leading Exhibition Organizer to be their exclusive representative for  Sri Lanka and Nepal, to provide this opportunity and facility  to Sri Lankan exporters for  the display of  their  products  at  professionally  well managed  Malaysian Exhibitions, organized by EXPOMAL.

Like with EXPOMAL,  we are confident of linking up with several other event organizers in countries of the region to provide  our Exporters the opportunity for participation. Likewise it is also leading our intention to be able to internationally organize in  Sri Lanka Single  Country or Regional Exhibitions within the next few years,  in cooperation  and partnership with Sri Lankan and overseas collaborators/ partners like EXPOMAL ..
It is hoped that, as we collaborate and enter into partnerships with other Exhibition Organizers in this region and elsewhere, more and more opportunities would be thrown open to products and services being showcased in various countries. This would bring the goods and services of Sri Lankan Exporters virtually to the door step of Buyers. We could then see a vibrant development of business, thereby bringing prosperity, not only to the Sri Lankan business entrepreneurs but also to the participating nations and their peoples.    

Ourselves :

We are a small dedicated and experienced team who believe in quality and high standards in our activities. Our knowledge  is  strengthened  with experience by our participation in international Trade Fairs, & varying dimensions accompanying  Sri Lankan business groups on overseas tours, organizing trade displays, both in Sri Lanka and abroad and enjoying  good reputations both at home and abroad. We also have a good network of producers of goods and providers of services. The Directors of  WORLDTREX  are assisted by a support staff and consultants. We provide this opportunity  to Sri Lankan Entrepreneurs  as a national  service.
